Mental Health Research Network Annual Report 2004
This annual report describes the second year of progress of the UK Mental Health Research Network (UK MHRN) co-ordinating centre managed in partnership by the Institute of Psychiatry (Kings College London) and the University of Manchester. 

The social work contribution to mental health services; the future direction.
The MHRN Social Care Leads have produced a response to the above discussion paper produced by Care services Improvement Partnership (CSIP), National Institute For Mental Health in England, in collaboration with the Association of Directors of Social Services, British Association of Social Workers, Department of Health, General Social Care Council, Social Care Institute for Excellence, Skills for Care and Social Perspectives Network.

MHRN response to Best Research for Best Health
In July 2005 the Department of Health launched a consultation on the proposed new National Health Research Strategy. The aim of the strategy is to ensure that the NHS contribution to health research is a centrepiece of the Government’s commitment to making the UK the best place in the world for health research, development and innovation. The MHRN provided a response to this consultation.

UKCRC Reports

UKCRC Progress Report 2004-2006
The UK Clinical Research Collaboration (UKCRC) was established by the Chancellor of the Exchequer in his 2004 Budget.  This report documents progress made by the UKCRC Partners in their first two years and highlights key elements of the emerging clinical research environment.

UK Health Research Analysis - July 2006
The UKCRC has published the first ever analysis detailing the distribution of spending on all types of health research across all areas of health disease in the UK.
