We will obtain personal information about your through www.mhrn.info if you:
a) register online to receive occasional news from us;
b) are a mental health professional and register an interest in getting involved in research either online or by completing a downloadable form;
c) fill in an online application or complete a downloadable form to join either Service Users in Research or FACTOR;
d) fill in an online application or complete a downloadable form to apply for MHRN support for a research study;
e) fill in an online application form to register to receive information about a specific event.
The personal information we collect may include your name, your email addresses, your personal address, telephone numbers, your occupation, your ethnic background, your age, and your personal experience of mental health problems, physical disability or involvement in research. Some of the information we collect allows us to send you news and information that will particularly interest you. We ask about people’s personal experience of mental health problems, ethnic background and disability because we are keen to work with people from a variety of different cultures and with a range of different experiences and perspectives. You do not have to provide this information.
We will only use your personal details to send you the information, or offer you the service, you have requested and/or for administrative purposes.
We process personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Any personal information you provide via this website is confidential, and we will endeavour to keep the information we hold on you accurate and up to date. If your personal details change, please help us to keep your information up to date by emailing mhrn@kcl.ac.uk
The information you give will be stored securely by the Mental Health Research Network. Only MHRN staff will have access to the information and we will not pass on your details to any other organisation or individual outside the MHRN without your permission.
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you and to have any inaccuracies corrected.
